Gray Line Toronto’s Accessibility Initiative

From Crystal Sheriff

Last night my husband and I had the honour of attending the March of Dimes changemakers Supper Club.

In a world where we are constantly reminded of the importance of making a positive impact, it is truly a privilege to have been able to be a part of this event and connect with the individuals who work tirelessly, and have committed their lives to make this world a better place.

The March of Dimes Change Makers Supper Club is an organization close to my heart. 26 years ago my mother was a recipient of the program, and the March of Dimes was a part of her success story. The March of Dimes brings together a remarkable group of individuals dedicated to driving positive change in the lives of those who need it most. Part of their mission is to improve the health of those living with various disabilities, and providing support and resources to ensure everyone has a chance to thrive. I’ve had the privilege of speaking with some of the most dedicated and compassionate individuals who share this vision, and it’s a testament to the power of community when we unite for a common cause.

In inspiration of this event, we would like to introduce the The Gray Line Toronto Initiative. Our initiative will consist of creating opportunities for everyone, regardless of their abilities or limitations. We want to break down barriers and ensure that jobs, tours, and coach buses are accessible to all, regardless of physical challenges. This initiative resonates deeply with me and is in honour of my late mother Lynn. It will remind us that true progress means leaving no one behind. We want to bring awareness, inclusivity and accessibility to the tourism industry and become a shining example of the kind of change we need to see in the world.

The March of Dimes Change Makers Supper Club, and Gray Line Toronto’s Initiative, share a common goal: to create a society that is more inclusive, equitable, and accessible for all.

As we look to the future with this new initiative, I am reminded of the ripple effect that change can have. One person’s commitment to a cause can inspire others to join in, and collectively, we can achieve remarkable things. I am filled with gratitude for the chance to give back to the March of Dimes and bring light to Gray Line Toronto’s Initiative. I invite all of you to consider how you can also be a part of the change we want to see in the world.

Let’s join hands, spread the message of inclusivity and accessibility, and work together to create a brighter and more equitable future for all. Our actions today can shape a better tomorrow, and it all starts with the belief that change is possible.

Thank you for your support, and let’s continue to be the change we wish to see in the world. 🌎💫
